Who is Clipsal?
Clipsal by Schneider Electric still manufactures large quantities of product in Australia. Although we also source product from overseas, the products we produce locally are our high volume lines and substantially contribute to the Australian economy. Founded in 1920, the Clipsal brand name first appeared when Alfred Gerard developed a range of adjustable, clip-on metal conduit fittings. These products provided Australian electrical contractors with an innovative solution to the long-standing problem of size variations in metal conduits. We directly employ over 4,000 fellow Australians along with 1,000’s more as a result of our activity and 300 research and development employees with 1,500 manufacturing employees nationwide. We manufacture at multiple sites across Australia (Adelaide (SA), Benalla (VIC), Melbourne (VIC), Brisbane (QLD) and Sydney (NSW) and export to the world.
