Established in 2015, Solar Mart’s customer focus is helping everyday people make energy choices that transform their lives. Growing up in Sunny Country Queensland on a 40 acre market farm, Raj the owner of Solar Mart was first exposed to Solar Energy in the late 80s. Eventually this glimpse into Sustainable Energy Living would be the catalyst to change his career path.
Raj worked as an Automotive Mechanic and excelled in technical diagnosis and customer service eventually working in a National Technical Support Role. After buying a rural property to live on in 2008, Raj went about setting up an Off-Grid Solar System where he lived for 18 months to understand the capabilities of Off-Grid Solar. In his own words “I remember feeling the exhilaration and empowerment realizing that I was no longer reliant on an Electricity Provider and at the same time I was helping reduce the environmental impact traditional energy resources were having”.
With Raj’s strong technical background and customer focus ethos, he realized he had the opportunity to help Individuals, Families and Businesses become semi or completely self-reliant on electricity. Environmentally it became clear to Raj that by empowering others with “Reliable Solar Energy”, one person could now make a tenfold impact. Raj trained in the Solar Industry and was employed in a Sales, Solar System Design and Technical Support role in 2013. By late 2015 it was time to for Raj to make his own way in the Solar Industry and Solar Mart was established.
